The topic of “Antifa black bloc” tactics as a form of protest and counter protest were addressed by the Washington Post , Daily Beast and Atlantic back in 2017.

Below: The 4 Facebook events this year that have resulted in all out “Live Action” conflict between the MAGA / Proud Boys and Anarcho-Antifa black bloc.
The first two were held in Portland in August with the second resulting in a fatality. The second two were held in DC following the 2020 election.
BELOW: Portland response from Rose City Antifa and the PNWYLF, the two leading anarcho-antifa black bloc practitioners.
BELOW: All Out DC along with the DC Youth Liberation Front and They / Them Collective gathered among others for the opposition marches in the capital.
Selective outrage: Those hailing from one background were targeted by the mob while others with no masks passed without questioning. DC mask order says persons should wear a mask outside if they are “within six feet of another person.”
November 14. Pedestrian Trump supporters were attacked en masse before the sun went down. Proud Boys retaliated at night tearing down BLM signs at the union building by the plaza. There is at least one daylight incident of right wing initiating, namely the viral video starting with the attack on the left wing megaphone handler.
Though already there 2 days, this group found me suspect. I was stopped and questioned. As this was the final day of the investigation, I decided to engage. I told them truthfully I was an independent journalist working for myself.
From DC to Portland, the social authoritarianism or “woketarianism” is a constant on the Left.
Coordinated Direct Action
From Minneapolis to LA to New York City, coordinated insurrectionary direct action was undertaken with vast regional variation. Some groups utilized black block tactics. Others did not. Leftist activism operates on a 33 year framework of antiracist / anarchist action.

Undercover: DC & SF
Hidden body cam video taken after the summer at a weekly FTP (F the Police) Saturday night march in DC. Also video from the October 17th SF Berkeley Antifa led attack that resulted in hate crime charges following the assault of a conservative organizer.
Sacramento & St. Paul
On December 5th at the state Capitol in Northern California Berkeley Antifa & Antifa Sacramento launched a firework and shield attack against police. Then the group smashed out the car windows of any vehicle with a Trump sticker or American flag. Hours before in St. Paul, Anarchist aligned groups also busted out the windows of cars belonging to Trump supporters.
After clashing with police previously, Berkeley Antifa & Antifa Sacramento start bashing car windows. PASSWORD: anarchy
Angry St. Paul MAGA supporters realize their cars have been vandalized and tires slashed. One man loses it and pushes a young man on roller skis. He is arrested.
I’m Sorry
August 1st in Portland. A mostly white crowd chants “I’m sorry” in a BLM call & response.
Michigan Sec. of State Home
Enhanced nighttime video. Note that the protesters have no guns. They also do not cuss. They yell some. And one guy yells “murderer” which makes no sense. But they also sing the national anthem and Christmas songs. Detroit PD & Michigan State police confirm police did not think protesters to be armed.
Disclaimer: Public Report does not support the “Stop the Steal” protest
